The Gordon School

New for April 2026

Gordon and SAGE Dining are implementing an immediate plan to improve diner satisfaction, based on recent student surveys:

A more student-centered menu
While we have previously prioritized new and more complex dishes, student feedback shows a strong preference for high-quality, recognizable favorites. Students can look forward to more frequent rotations of items like chicken parm, mac and cheese, quesadillas, tacos, ravioli and lasagna. Newly added items like the chicken bites bowl and the pulled pork mac and cheese bowl will allow students to build their own entree with as few or as many toppings as they choose.

More vegetarian offerings
We are expanding our vegetarian offerings by introducing more bean-based proteins.

A new approach to trays, utensils and cups
We have plenty of dishes and trays for the first and second lunch periods, but our team has found it challenging to turn these items over fast enough to ensure sufficient dry time and quality control before the third lunch. To ensure every student receives a clean, dry, and professional presentation, in the coming weeks, we will now have a dedicated set of trays, utensils and cups for our final lunch period.

Expanded Friday Middle School dessert
Instead of offering Middle School one dessert on Fridays, we will begin offering two: one option that is free of the twelve allergens tracked in the SAGE app, and another with a recipe that is not restricted by allergens. There's no school Friday April 3rd, so this will begin on Thursday, April 2nd. The Free Style offering will continue to be free of the twelve allergens tracked in the SAGE app, and any allergens contained in the Crossroads offering will be clearly labeled. If your child has a foodborne allergy, please guide them to the dessert they can enjoy by using the SAGE app.
