The Frances Martindale Fund
Our inspiration
Frances Martindale has played an exceptional role in Gordon history, working directly with every student in the school for over thirty-one years and guiding the evolution of the library collection as Gordon became a national leader in multicultural education.
Through her leadership, her imagination, and her natural ability to collaborate, she established the Joukowsky Family Library as a center of life and learning for all Gordon students.
Our plan
Raise $2 million to endow the Director of the Joukowsky Family Library position in Frances Martindale’s name. This campaign will establish Gordon’s first-ever endowed faculty position, to ensure that Frances’s vision and values will endure through every librarian who follows. It will also create an outdoor reading space by expanding the existing pollinator garden on the Early Childhood playground.
