The Gordon School Carnival dates back to 1957, a history that spans over half of Gordon's age! While this event has changed shape over the years, love has always been at its core, along with a desire to celebrate the Gordon community and connect with our neighbors.
Gordon hasn’t had a full-scale Carnival since 2019. This year, Carnival is back and expanding its impact with a community raffle, a silent auction, rides, games, and activities for all ages including a carousel, bungee trampoline, obstacle courses and more! Building on the success of the fall picnic’s alumni soccer game, there will be an alumni basketball tournament as well.
New for this year: all rides and activities will be free! Gordon's Carnival will continue to be the school's largest fundraising event, but the focus will be on raising resources through sponsorship and donations, and shifting away from ticket sales for rides and activities.
Carnival will be Saturday, May 20th from 10am to 3pm, rain or shine, open to students, parents, alumni and their parents, grandfriends, friends, and community members.
If you’re interested in being a part of this event please come to the volunteer kick-off meeting on Tuesday, February 7th at 8:30am at Gordon. At this meeting, parents and casregivers can learn about volunteer opportunities ranging from leading larger planning efforts to day-of support for the Carnival.
