Since 2007 Suzanne has been instrumental in the development and extension of the Gordon Spanish language program from Kindergarten to eighth grade. She currently teaches Spanish in fourth through seventh grades and French in eighth grade. Suzanne also serves as an advisor on the seventh grade team.

Suzanne firmly believes in teaching cultural and linguistic proficiency through the prism of social justice and equity, and she is very intentional about exploring, discussing and seeking solutions to global issues with her students. In addition, Suzanne actively partners with both local and global community organizations as a way to further authenticate her students’ language and cultural experience in Middle School.

Suzanne is fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish and has a professional working knowledge of Portuguese. She studied and lived overseas in France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom over a period of eleven years. Suzanne has also taught K-12 in both independent day and boarding schools in the US and American and international schools in London, England and Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman.

Suzanne holds a BA Honors degree in French from Suffolk University with a double minor in Political Science and Spanish and an MSc degree in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her intent was to go to Law School after graduate school but teaching had a stronger calling.

Suzanne loves teaching and learning with her students at Gordon, and spending time with her beloved pets, Addie, and Georgina and her family. She also enjoys cooking, swimming and traveling anywhere! Suzanne teaches the Italian cooking classes with her sister, Barbara, who is a professional chef.
