Gabe Burnstein

Middle School Director, Eighth grade advisor

Before becoming Gordon's Middle School Director, Gabe spent nine years as a middle school humanities teacher at Gordon, teaching a key part of Gordon's social justice curriculum that culminates in the eighth grade Civil Rights trip to Alabama and Georgia. He also co-coordinated the service learning program connecting students to the greater Providence community, and he served for three years as faculty representative on Gordon's Board of Trustees. Before moving to Providence, Gabe was a middle school dean of students and history teacher at Campbell Hall, an independent K-12 school in Los Angeles.

Gabe has presented at several educational conferences and has consulted about multicultural education for teachers and schools across New England. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in English and Film, and he received his MA in Independent School Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University in May of 2019.
