Lunch of the future
Gordon’s strategic vision calls for “a lunch program that fosters a resilient and sustainable local ecosystem by supporting local farmers and serving students fresh, healthy, delicious food.”
In January, a comprehensive food strategy that meets this strategic vision, including a community-inclusive lunch program launching in September 2023, was announced at www.gordonschool.org/familytable
Lunch now
Gordon also recognizes the need for an interim plan to provide lunch options for the coming school year, and More Than a Meal will be on campus this year serving lunch in the dining hall. More Than a Meal is Chefs Linda Kane and Bryan Smith, supported by a team of graduates from the Amos House Culinary Education program; Amos House is a longtime partner of Gordon's, as a caterer and as a host for eighth graders' service learning projects.
This year’s lunch program will begin in first to eighth grades.
Families can join the program, or withdraw, at the end of each month. In the second-to-last Thursday Gordon News of each month, the menu for the following month will be shared. Families can sign up then using this form, or ask to be removed by emailing Cheryl Fanti at cfanti@gordonschool.org

If your Lower School or Middle School child is not receiving lunch, you can sign them up to begin June 5th using the form below.
Please sign up for June by the evening of Friday, June 2nd.

Lunch 2022-2023
You will never pack lunch again
Lunch will be served every full school day. You will not need to pack lunch unless your child is going on a field trip.
Easy billing
Lunch will be billed monthly. Please contact the Business Office at 401 434-3833 x144 or cgarcia@gordonschool.org with any billing questions.
Keeping it simple
It will not be possible to sign up children for less than the full program.
Families cannot request specific days of the week for their child to participate in the lunch program.
It is not possible to provide refunds when a child is absent from school.
Any requests to add or remove a child from the lunch program or to switch in or out of the vegetarian option will be honored on the first day of the following month.
The monthly fee is based on the number of lunches in the month.
