Sign up now

Music lessons should be booked directly using the contact information at www.gordonschool.org/musiclessons

Go to www.gordonschool.org/gators to start signing up for everything else. If you are a first-time user of Gordon after school programs or summer camps, you’ll need to set up a profile.

The deadline to sign up for spring enrichments is March 15th.

On rare occasions, certain sports have been cancelled due to lack of interest. If this should happen, families will find out during the first week of the season.

We've got you covered

Gordon is open until 5:30 every day

Gordon has after school care available for all grades - Gators for Nursery to fourth grade and YAP (Young Adult Place) for Middle School.

Families can preregister for the full year of after school care and receive a discounted rate at www.gordonschool.org/gators.

But after school care is also available to cover every family, every day, without advance notice.

Every morning, advisors and classroom teachers establish what each child is doing at dismissal, to ensure a smooth transition. If your child is going to Gators or YAP, make sure they go to school knowing that plan or, in the younger grades, stop in to tell the teacher yourself.

If your child’s pickup plans change over the course of the day, call Gordon at (401) 434-3833. Email is not a reliable way to communicate such a timely message. Speak to Ashley Lima at the front desk, and she will let the appropriate people know.

Students who are not picked up on time at dismissal will also go to Gators or YAP. If you are running late, even by as little as ten minutes, take a moment to call and let the school know.

Full-day coverage when there isn’t school

Gator Days are all-day care from 7:30am to 5:30pm when school is not in session. These are available on weekdays when there are no classes that are not federal holidays, including during winter and spring break. The school calendar explains which holidays have coverage and which do not.

Advance signups at www.gordonschool.org/gators are crucial to making this work; registration deadlines will be announced in the Thursday Gordon News. Registrations must meet a minimum number of students by these deadlines for each Gator Day to run. There are no refunds for cancellations of Gator Day registrations within less than forty-eight hours in advance.

One note: Gordon has noon dismissals on Grandfriend’s Day and the days before winter break and summer break. The logistics of these days are tricky, and after school programs, including Gators and YAP, will not run on these days.

Making a profile now will make it much easier for you to access after school care when you need it.
