The Gordon School

Class of 2020 Compassionate Community Fund

At the first of a series of Town Halls this June, Head of School Noni Thomas López announced the creation of the Class of 2020 Compassionate Community Fund

Guided by the belief that one of Gordon’s greatest strengths is its community, the school is focusing its fundraising efforts towards this fund, which will help families who have suffered economically as a result of COVID-19 to remain at Gordon School.

This fund will also be used to help pay for facilities expenses related to reopening safely in the fall. Funds will also be set aside for a discretionary fund for the Head of School to allow her maximum flexibility in addressing other needs that may arise for students, faculty, and staff as a result of this pandemic.

This fund directly addresses the desires and concerns expressed this spring by the Class of 2020 as they talked about their legacy at Gordon. As the fund launched, the Class of 2020's families and the school's alumni were invited to take the lead in supporting the fund in honor of this extraordinary graduating class.
