I am interested in volunteering for the following:

Registration - Help famiies check in for Carnival. Post-Carnival breakdown - We are seeking volunteers to assist 1-2 hours after the end of carnival to assist with breaking down tables/stations. Sponsorship - Working with the Advancement office, identifying potential sponsors, and coordinating with Alexandra O'Connor for sponsor menu and solicitation methods. Determine Gordon's commitment to sponsors- i.e., advertising, program, etc. This responsibility includes coordinating any signage or printed materials as needed. Silent Auction - Working with the Advancement office, procure ten experiences or gifts for silent auction by 4/28. This includes reaching out to donors, setting up on the day of the carnival, managing sign-ups, closing the auction, and awarding to winning families. Set up and the display may be required for any Carnival preview days. Breakdown/cleaning of the station at the close of the carnival/auction. Community Raffle - Working with the Advancement office, identifying Gordon community members or individuals/businesses outside of Gordon who will contribute goods and services to the community raffle. This responsibility includes the procurement of thirty items, numbering, and itemizing the raffle items for display by 4/28. Day of responsibilities will include setting up the display of raffle items prior to Carnival, managing raffle ticket purchases and announcing winners at the close of the raffle, and breakdown/clean-up of display at the close of the carnival/raffle. Gordon Gear - We are seeking volunteers with school spirit to assist with purchases of Gordon gear and accessories. Games and Activities - We are seeking volunteers to plan and run up to ten games and activities that are suitable for all ages. Responsibilities include identifying the games, creating a written document for each game explaining how the game is run and the token earning system, and procuring materials and signage needed. On the day of Carnival, setting up, running the games, and breakdown/cleaning up at the close of Carnival. Face Painting - We are looking for volunteers to run the face painting station. This responsibility entails setting up paint and supplies before the start of Carnival, managing the queue and applying face paint and/or glitter tattoos, and breaking down and cleaning up the face painting station after Carnival closes. No prior artist experience is required. Prizes - We are looking for volunteers to run our prize station. This responsibility includes identifying prizes for purchase (www.rinovelty.com for example), setting up the prize station, collecting game coins and distributing prizes, and breaking down/cleaning up the station at the close of Carnival. Crafting - We are seeking volunteers with a creative flair to assist participants in creating up to five crafts suitable for all ages such as friendship bracelets, slime, carnival masks, and more. Responsibilities include procuring materials and signage needed. On the day of Carnival, set up crafting tables, provide instruction to participants, and break down/clean up the station at the close of Carnival. Field Games - We are looking for volunteers to assist with varied field games, and manage the queue of participants. Set up prior to the start of the carnival as needed and break down/clean up at the close. Alumni Basketball Tournament - We are looking for volunteers to assist our basketball coaches as needed. Responsibilities may include refereeing, scorekeeping, timekeeping, and creating event signage. Carnival T-Shirts - We are seeking volunteers to coordinate sorting and the delivery of carnival shirts prior to Carnival. Carousel - We are looking for volunteers to manage the queue of riders and assist participants onto the carousel as necessary. Bungee Trampoline - We are looking for volunteers to manage the queue of riders and assist them onto the ride as needed. Bounce Houses - We are looking for volunteers to manage the queue of jumpers and assist them in and out of the bounce house as needed. Wrecking Ball - We are looking for volunteers to manage the queue of jumpers and assist them in and out of the attraction as needed. Obstacle Course - We are looking for volunteers to manage the queue of participants and assist them in and out of the obstacle course as needed. Popcorn - We are seeking volunteers to run the popcorn concession stand on the day of Carnival. Responsibilities include setting up, preparing/cooking the popcorn, service to the queue, and cleaning up the station at the close of Carnival. Cotton Candy - We are seeking volunteers to run the cotton candy concession stand on the day of Carnival. Responsibilities include setting up, preparing the cotton candy, service to the queue, and cleaning up the station at the close of Carnival. Doughboy / Fried Oreos - We are seeking volunteers to run the doughboy/fried Oreo concession on the day of Carnival. Responsibilities include set up, service to the queue, and cleaning up the station at the close of Carnival. No cooking required. Liaison - We are seeking volunteers to be free-flowing liaisons between game attendants, food vendors, raffle attendants, and all other Carnival stations and Angela Alston. Responsibilities will entail periodically checking in with Carnival stations to see if there are any issues or needs and reporting back to Angela Alston, who can then facilitate a resolution.
