The Class of 2020 was honored on June 10th with a ceremony that observed social distancing guidelines while preserving what really mattered about Gordon's Commencement: the joy, the warmth, the personal connection, and the child-by-child attention to each student's strengths and gifts.
It began with a car parade that allowed each student to ring the school bell one last time.
Then, families processed to Engle Field for the ceremony captured in the video embedded below, which was livestreamed to over two hundred and fifty faculty, alumni and members of the extended Gordon family.

The event was, of course, shared on social media by many in the audience as well, and even the photographer covering the event added a touching tribute to her Instagram the following morning.

The Class of 2020 asked that their class gift be directed to the Compassionate Community Fund, created to assist the Gordon community weather the impact of COVID-19. Families can honor this class by supporting this fund.
