Kristen began teaching at Gordon in 1995. After graduating with a B.S. in Education from the University of Rhode Island, she began her teaching career in the after school programs at Gordon. She then taught for many years in Gordon’s Preschool classroom, finally landing in the Wellness and Athletics department in 2005.

By creating a physical education curriculum that values inclusiveness, Kristen teaches classes where knowledge, effort and development are valued, not only skills and performance.

Kristen teaches Lower School and Middle School PE classes, coaches Middle School athletics and is the school's Athletic Director. She considers interactions with individual students the most important part of each day and looks forward to fostering positive self-image and a life-long love of physical movement in each Gordon student.

In addition to teaching movement skills to children, Kristen is also a certified Crossfit coach. She believes that exercise has the power to make all aspects of our lives better. When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful family.
