Specialty Lower Camps
Specialty Lower Camps allow campers from Kindergarten to fourth grade to customize their camp days based on their interests. Rising Kindergarteners and first graders can spend their mornings at Day Camp and choose from specialty camp options for their afternoons.
Morning, afternoon and full-day specialty camps in athletics, art, engineering and more are available for campers entering second through fourth grade. (See offerings for campers entering fifth through eighth grade here.) Weekly schedules will also include outdoor time, water play, sports, games, and other activities.
Families who register a camper for two half-day camps (morning and afternoon) during the same week will get $45 off their full-day price. (Discount does not apply to full-day camps or off-campus programs.)
During the holiday week of July 6th, join us for Quest for the Cup, a full-day program that brings campers of all ages together for joyful, exciting competition. (Please note that Quest for the Cup runs Tuesday to Friday; there is no camp Monday, July 6th.) Read more about all our camps below.

Be an Outdoor Explorer - New!

Our new Outdoor Explorer program invites curious campers to discover the wonders of the natural world through hands-on play, bug hunts, and sensory nature walks. These intrepid adventurers will build confidence and friendships while engaging in creative outdoor crafts and basic wilderness discovery. Get ready for a week of muddy boots, big discoveries, and endless fresh-air fun! $230 (half day)
Be a Camp Crafter! - New!
Kindergarten and first grade
12-4pm June 22nd to 26th
Campers will unleash their imaginations in a vibrant world of colors and textures designed specifically for young creators. Through classic camp projects like friendship bracelets, sensory finger painting, nature-inspired collages, and more, we’ll develop fine motor skills, self-expression, and an array of timeless keepsakes. $240 (half day)
Be a Playground Designer! - New!
Kindergarten and first grade
12-4pm June 29th to July 3rd
Campers will act as both engineers and artists to bring their dream play spaces to life in this new camp! Through sketching, building miniature models, and testing fun structures, campers will explore the basics of physics and design as they collaborate to imagine their ultimate playground. $245 (half day)
Be a (Tea) Party Planner!
Kindergarten and first grade
12-4pm June 29th to July 3rd
Let’s get this tea party started! Campers will work together, under the direction of SAGE Dining Services Food Service Director Chef Matt Allen and Summer at Gordon staff, to plan and prepare a beautiful tea party. From invitations to the menu and decor to decorum, our young planners will consider all aspects of their event and create a one-of-a-kind experience for their special invited guests. $260 (half day)
Quest for the Cup
Nursery to eighth grade
8am-4pm July 7th to 10th (no camp on July 6th)
Join us for four fun days filled with engaging team-based games, activities, competitions, and missions with one goal in mind…to secure the Golden Gordie Cup! Campers will be placed into groups based on their grade levels. Within each of these groups, campers will be further divided into color groups. In our daily activities, campers will bank points for their color groups. Points can be earned in so many ways–team spirit, cooperation, scoring a goal, completing a mission, solving a puzzle, helping others, and more. Campers will work together indoors and outdoors–all across Gordon’s campus–as they earn points for their colors and support their friends along the way. We’ll track each color’s point totals throughout the week and announce the group with the most points at the end of the week in a camp-wide celebration. Only one question remains…campers–are you ready to conquer the Quest for the Cup?!? $335 (full day)
Be a Sensory Explorer!

This program is all about tactile fun! Slimes, squishies, Play Doh, clay, kinetic sand, ice, bubble wrap, and more will encourage campers to dive in hands first and explore with their senses. $245 (half day)

Vibrant colors and boundless imagination meet in this new camp! Campers will explore textures and techniques from finger painting to brushwork as they create unique masterpieces to share with each other and their families. $240 (half day)
Be a Gold Medal Teammate! - New!

Campers will go for the gold as they practice what it means to be a good teammate. Exciting group challenges, collaborative games, and opportunities to be helpers will engage campers to develop essential communication skills and the joy of supporting their peers. This will be a week to discover that everything is more fun when we work as a team! $230 (half day)
Be an Athlete! - New!

Campers will discover a love of sports through high-energy games that build fundamental agility, balance, and teamwork in this new camp. Our young players will explore a variety of athletic skills in a supportive environment designed to boost their confidence and spark a lifelong love for staying active. $230 (half day)
Be an Adventurer!

Let’s go on an adventure! Campers can journey far and wide together–from outer space, far away places, and made up worlds to pit stops on our own campus (our stream, pond, and other outdoor learning spaces). Projects and activities will encourage our adventurers to travel through their imaginations and gain hands-on experience every day. $230 (half day)
Be a Critter Caregiver - New!

Calling all pet owners, future veterinarians, and animal enthusiasts! In this program, we’ll learn about pets from the popular to the unusual–including their habits, habitats, and lots of fun facts. We’ll also invite special guests–both human and animal–to join us throughout the week as we learn how to care for all kinds of animals. $250 (half day)
Be a Lego Master: Eco Communities! - New!

12-4pm July 27th to 31st
Young builders can explore the wonders of the natural world while constructing vibrant LEGO eco-communities. From the lush jungle to the sandy desert, campers will learn about different habitats and sustainability while using their imaginations to design "green" homes and wildlife-friendly landscapes. It’s the perfect blend of engineering, environmental awareness, and colorful fun for the LEGO loving camper! $230 (half day)
Be a Stage Storyteller! - New!

The world of literature comes to life as campers become characters in favorite tales and stories of their own! This program is a mix of reading, writing, and performing that, in the true Gordon spirit, will encourage our authors to discover their own voices and tell their own stories on stage. $230 (half day)
Be a Magician! - New!

Step into a world of wonder as young apprentices discover the secrets behind classic illusions and sleight-of-hand tricks. Our mini-magicians will build confidence and stage presence as they craft their own props and practice performing for each other. The week concludes with a spectacular showcase, where every camper will delight their audience with new magical skills! $245 (half day)
Be a Puppeteer! - New!

In this new program, campers will design and build custom puppets using a variety of materials. They’ll also learn basic storytelling techniques to bring their puppets to life and introduce them to their audience. It is the perfect blend of arts, crafts, and theatrical play to inspire confidence and creativity! $245 (half day)
Be a Picnic Party Planner! - New!

Be a Picnic Party Planner invites campers to step into the role of mini-event coordinators for a week of outdoor celebration. Campers will design colorful menus, craft handmade decorations, and learn the art of the perfect picnic through collaborative games and creative food making. Under the direction of SAGE Dining Services Food Service Director Chef Matt Allen and Summer at Gordon staff, the week culminates in a spectacular themed party where our young planners host their very own sunshine-filled feast for family and friends. $260 (half day)
Be an Ocean Explorer! - New!

Let’s explore beyond the waves, into the depths of the vast ocean together. In this fun week of engineering, challenges will make your creations roll, float, flip and splat! Test your skills at designing a protective vehicle for our exciting Balloon Car Crash Challenge! Will your balloon survive? How much weight can spaghetti hold? Can you build a motorboat with recycled parts? These questions and more will be answered! $290 (half day)
Bunnytown Bakery - New!

Donuts! Cupcakes! Cookies! Pie! In this creative and delectable camp, campers will start with a small stuffy. Over the course of the week, they’ll design an apron and chef’s hat and build a bakery–including cookbooks, cafe tables, baking accessories and, of course, the treats! Each camper will take home their stuffy and all their creations to continue the adventure. $280 (half day)
Carnival Creations

Join us under the big top as campers design and orchestrate a carnival for our youngest campers! Campers will design all aspects of the carnival (games, booths, layout, music, prizes, and more) and ensure that our young friends have an amazing time! $245 (half day)
LEGO: Into the Spiderverse STEM - New!

Led by LEGO Master Tacos (Christine Blandino)
Help civilians survive New York by building STEM projects to stop the villains from taking over! Rebuild a city and move vehicles to retrieve those captive! Whether you are new to the Marvel Universe or a seasoned veteran, our campers are going to have a super smashing time. Tacos has over twenty years of experience working with children and appeared on LEGO Masters Season 3 and the Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular Special on the Fox Network and Hulu. $280 (half day)
Make It Fly!

Soar into the sky with planes, catapults, rockets, and balloons! Each camper will receive a small stuffed animal buddy to keep and we’ll design accessories, a flying costume, and a plane that will carry them along on our outdoor zip-line. Test your engineering skills launching rockets and see if your balloon survives our exciting water balloon drop challenge! $290 (half day)
Once Upon A Time - An Enchanted Mushroom Forest

Create your own enchanted Mushroom Forest story book, including mushroom houses, gardens, maybe even a gnome or two! We’ll have lots of fabric, trim, clay and bling to make our own 3D paper mache mushroom houses and characters to live in them. $280 (half day)
All Things Pokémon

For the Pokémon enthusiast, this is the camp for you! Game playing, character exploration, and more await trainers of all interest levels. Campers are welcome to bring their own cards (though we will not be trading cards) and other items to camp. $230 (half day)

Get ready to take the stage at our ultimate k-pop experience! Campers will explore choreography to their favorite hits, dabble in the vibrant world of idol fashion, and design album covers and concert merchandise like a music exec. It’s a high-energy week of music, teamwork, and creativity where every camper discovers their inner superstar. $230 (half day)

Let's Make a Movie!

The Casting Project PVD’s Let’s Make a Movie camp gives campers the chance to create the script for their very own short film. They’ll step behind and in front of the camera as they help film and act in the project. The session ends with a special screening to celebrate their work — a fun and exciting way to bring their story to life. $300 (half day)
Gordon Detective Agency: The Case of the Missing Money - New!

There’s been a crime in Mr. Mugg’s fourth grade class! The money for the upcoming field trip has gone missing and our campers will work together to solve the case. Under the expert guidance of Ms. Palmieri, they’ll collect evidence, work with DNA identification, and analyze tread patterns, lip prints, soil samples and more. It’s the perfect combination of teamwork and forensics science as campers solve the Case of the Missing Money! $260 (half day)
Fort Builders–New!

Race Car Rally Challenge

Cars! Cars! Cars! Using cardboard, lights, and recycled parts, we will build our own indoor racetrack and test them out with our R/C cars.Campers will be challenged to drive using only an iPad and the camera mounted on the car–putting them in the driver's seat! And that’s not all–we’ll also build a town! With obstacles, ramps and jumps, will you be able to guide your R/C car through the maze? Non-stop car based projects will keep us busy throughout the week. $290 (half day)
Costume Design Camp - New!

Silk screen, fabrics, ribbons, lace–campers will work with these materials and more as they dive into the world of fashion design! Campers will receive a small stuffy that they’ll design to rock the runway in butterfly costumes, mermaid tails, hats, scarves, dresses, and super hero costumes. Each fashion designer will model their stuffy on our Furry Fashion Show Runway and bring home a closet full of costumes to continue their adventures. $280 (half day)
All Things Squishmallows - New!

Come celebrate your favorite plush pals in this imaginative new camp! We’ll create the world of our cuddly friends through Squish-themed crafts, storytelling, and collaborative games. It’s the ultimate opportunity for campers to bond over their collections while making new friends in a cozy, whimsical environment. $240 (half day)
Tabletop Games

Game on! Campers will engage in friendly competition and practice good sportsmanship while playing table tennis, air hockey, cup stacking, finger flick football and other table top games. They’ll also have the opportunity to make their own games and test them out with the group. $230 (half day)
Boys+ Basketball Camp

Basketball is a team sport! While many athletic camps emphasize individual skill building and game play strategy, participants at Gordon will not only learn and develop the fundamentals of basketball and have multiple opportunities to practice those skills in games, they will also experience what it means to be a valued member of a team. This program will also highlight the contributions that people of all gender identities have made in the world of basketball. Each day will include station work, mini-clinics, a variety of game play situations and appropriate rest and downtime between sessions in which these players are competing and working so hard! All campers who identify as boys or non-binary are welcome to participate. Schedules will also include outdoor time, water play, sports, games, and other activities. $395 (full day)
Build-A-Wizarding Town - New!

Become a part of our magical construction team! We’ll create a wizard’s tower in a shopping alley for magical supplies. Wands, brooms, spells, pets, invisibility cloaks, and of course books and ice cream–what will your shop sell? Each camper will receive a small stuffed animal and design a magical wardrobe and accessories to complete their wizarding shopping experience! $290 (half day)
Jewelry Box

Design your own beautiful summer jewelry box covered in 3D paper shells, pearls and gems..and then create the jewelry to fill it! We’ll use oven bake clay, shrinkable plastic, and felting fibers with an assortment of beads and shells to make summer bracelets galore! $280 (half day)
Pet Care Academy - New!

Step into the paws of a professional at our Pet Care Academy, where campers learn the essentials of grooming, training, and animal wellness through hands-on activities. Campers will build their own "veterinary clinic," practice gentle handling with plush patients, and discover the rewarding responsibilities of caring for our furry and feathered friends. We’ll also invite special guests–both human and animal–to join us throughout the week as we learn how to care for all kinds of animals. It’s the perfect summer adventure for young animal lovers ready to turn their passion into practical skills! $245 (half day)
Repurpose with a Purpose

Sustainability and the ability to repurpose materials will be the focus of this environmentally friendly art program. Campers will discuss the importance of eco-conscious efforts and create something new out of what otherwise would be discarded. Choosing from a variety of materials, campers will build innovative art pieces that are not only one of a kind, but also kind to the Earth. $230 (half day)
Girls+ Basketball Camp
Second to eighth grade

Basketball is a team sport! LEGO: Going to the Carnival - New!

The summer isn't over yet! For the camper who loves heart-pumping games and LEGO, this is the camp for you! Campers will form teams that will create theme parks and use different STEM tools to help characters stay on the fun rides…but beware of the Jesters and their tricky game! Join LEGO Master Tacos as she teaches you how to use STEM projects to protect your prizes. Let the games begin! Let’s create an installation where visitors can engage their senses in the art we create. Campers can create a garden of flowers, plants, animals, and more from a variety of materials that are 2D and 3D pieces. We’ll mount our creations and present a unique engagement opportunity for guests. $245 (half day)
Outdoor Games - New!

Let’s get outside and get active with some favorite camp games! High octane activities like races, relays, capture the flag, water games, team sports, build-your-own-obstacle-course, steal the bacon, and capture the counselor will keep campers engaged all week long. $230 (half day)
Camp Newspaper - New!
Second to fourth grade
12-4pm August 10th to 14th
EXTRA! EXTRA! Aspiring reporters will dive into the world of journalism as they hunt for stories, conduct interviews, and photograph camp life. By the end of the week, campers will work together to write and design their very own camp newspaper to share with friends and family. Campers will also contribute to Gordon’s social media accounts throughout the week to share their unique perspectives on all that happens at camp. $230 (half day)
Crafting en Español
Second to fourth grade
12-4pm August 10th to 14th
Campers will explore a variety of artistic projects—from traditional folk art to modern DIY crafts—while building their Spanish vocabulary through immersive, play-based instruction. Activities will be taught in Spanish and campers will be encouraged to respond in turn. $230 (half day)
