This week, two of Gordon's leaders saw their thoughts on timing and leadership appear online in two different contexts.
Coincidence? Maybe not, considering that Gordon is a school that provides students with a carefully crafted sequence of lessons in leadership, beginning at age three.
Medium published an interview with Gordon's Head of School Noni Thomas López (above left) which is a wonderful affirmation of her role in this work. The headline, "You Don't Have to Wait for the Right Time to Become a Leader," says it all.
And the new chair of Gordon's Board of Trustees, Amanda Riegel (above right), published her thoughts on leadership, timing and gender on the blog of Carney, Sandoe & Associates, the faculty recruitment and strategic consulting firm where she leads the Leadership Transition Practice. The post, "Is Timing Really Everything?", draws directly on her work at Gordon.
