The Gordon School

Welcoming Anna Kristina Goranssom

The twenty-eighth Britt Nelson Visiting Artist

Anna Kristina Goranssom will be on campus from late March to mid-April as the twenty-eighth Britt Nelson Visiting Artist.

A Swedish-American artist with strong ties to both the U.S. and Sweden, Kristina works in fiber arts, especially felted wool. She often creates large-scale, immersive installations that invite collaboration and community engagement.

She has been to Gordon before, for a delightful workshop with Middle School students who have since graduated, and Gordon’s visual arts team is thrilled to share her with a new generation of students. She will work with every grade at the school during her time here.

This is the twenty-eighth residency sponsored by the Britt Nelson Fund, which was established in 1998 to support Gordon’s commitment to hands-on art education.
