Welcome to Inktober.

 

Throughout October, Gordon students will be drawing with pen and ink.

 

It's part of a national challenge to do one ink drawing a day for the entire month.

 

Art classes have already worked it into their morning warmup, and supplies and blank journals have been laid out in the Middle School Well.

 

If the idea of daily practice sounds familiar, you might be thinking of National Novel Writing Month, which dares writers to write every day in November. Gordon's seventh grade have been participating in that event every year since 2012.

 

Writing and drawing are two skills that combine imagination, careful observation and hard work. Can Science-uary be next?
