Voices of gratitude

The annual Giving Thanks assembly convenes online

At Friday's Giving Thanks assembly, one Student Leadership Council Co-President harkened back to gratitude he felt in Gordon's Young Kindergarten.

The other one expressed her gratitude for teachers faculty and staff.

Dr. Thomas López connected gratitude to optimism and encouraged students to use gratitude as a way "to keep the darkness at bay."

The Modern Language department pulled together voices from across the school to express gratitude in French, Hebrew, Spanish, American Sign Language, English, Cape Verdean, Creole, Swahili and Portuguese.

Then, each class shared a message of gratitude based on the leaves that each student had created earlier in the week. A sampling of these leaves are above.

Eighth grade reported in about the success of the schoolwide Turkey Trot.

The gathering then concluded with the fifth grade's rendition of the school song.
