It gets even better from here

Winter break is officially over today, and Gordon picked up where it left off.
 

A Nursery teacher reconnected students with a shared book.
 

A second grade teacher did, too.
 

First grade students read to one another.
 

Seventh grade students read their first semester reports, and started setting goals of their own.
 

Fourth grade cleared their desks to review the geometry they’d begun in December.
 

In Kindergarten, one student finally finished an assignment she’d begun last year.
 

Before break, she brought home the sharing can.
 

Over break, she filled it with a favorite object, and thought of clues she could give her classmates.
 

And today, she led them down a wild trail of guesses before they identified what was in the can.
 

Finally, it was revealed to be one of the beeswax candles they had made together in December, which they'd lit to help brighten the shortest day of the year.
 

The days are getting longer.
