"Music is a way of communicating, it allows us to talk to people who don’t speak the same language. It breaks barriers, it brings people together."
Last night’s winter concert began with those words from an eighth grader, and this reflection from longtime music teacher Bill Beaudoin:
"Something about performing together deepens our relationships: with the music, each other, and the world. It broadens us and makes us better citizens. It makes us more human."

Then, Middle School musicians brought the audience together, and parents, teachers, staff, alumni, friends and extended family all connected with their shared humanity.
Congratulations to all the performers!
These videos are just three of the highlights from the concert. There will be encore performances from all the Middle School ensembles tomorrow at the all-school assembly, 10:30am. More on assemblies at Gordon at www.gordonschool.org/assemblies
