Their Aha! moment

Gordon prepares for a historic solar eclipse

Even for seasoned skywatchers, the mechanics of a solar eclipse can be a little confusing.

Here is a first grade class having their “Aha!” moment with Mr. Terry earlier this week.

These students will have a chance to dig deep into this astronomy in fourth grade, when they’ll have an extended lesson on the moon.

In this eclipse lesson, you can see Mr. Terry laying the foundation for more moon lessons, including their dive into the mystery of the moon’s phases.

East Providence will experience an eclipse of over 90% on Monday.
