The Turkey Trot goes schoolwide

Annual celebration of community, generosity grows

Gordon's Turkey Trot is organized every year by the eighth grade.

It's part of an ongoing partnership with Pleasant View Elementary School.

Every spring, Pleasant View hosts Gordon eighth graders for a four-week service project.

Every fall, the Gordon community comes together to help ensure a great Thanksgiving for every Pleasant View family.

On campus, students celebrate with a gentle, non-competitive Trot.

This year, the Trot expanded to include games and races for every grade.

There may have been dance parties, too.

Students got in on the action from home as well.

Spirits were high.

The weather was gorgeous.

Best of all: the 2020 Turkey Trot raised over $4,500.

That's enough to support thirty families this Thanksgiving, and again in December.

Thanks to the eighth grade for leading the effort.

Thanks to the faculty who pulled it all together.

And thanks to everyone who participated!

Turkey Trot 2020 is part of Gordon's season of generosity.
