Teaching one another

Faculty and staff lead professional development day

Today’s professional development day was built around workshops designed by faculty and staff for one another.

Topics included master classes in executive function, using the outdoors for student learning, the role of a library in a multicultural curriculum, sustaining healthy relationships with parents, and how philanthropy contributes in a healthy school culture.

Grade and department teams also had time to take a deep dive into curriculum, to share learning resources and to revisit our theme for the year on dissent and democracy.

To allow space for today’s learning, there were no classes today. Thank you to families for making room for Gordon’s professionals to connect and learn from one another.
