Middle School musical spoofs Shakespeare and the art of the musical itself
The Middle School musical, Something Rotten, debuts tomorrow, Wednesday the 17th, at 6:30pm, the first night of a three-night run.
Something Rotten is a smart, goofy musical set in Shakespeare’s time. Some of the Bard’s rival playwrights set out to outdo him and accidentally invent the genre of the modern stage musical.
The production is firmly rooted in the talents of Gordon’s Middle School, with the lavish costumes designed by students, as well as the sets and the lights.
