The Gordon School

Nursery votes, and a journey begins

There was high turnout from first time voters today.

Starting at age three, Gordon teaches students to make their voices heard.

The lessons are energetic.

They are authentic.

They are sometimes difficult.

By eighth grade, when Gordon students travel to Georgia and Alabama, they'll be able to hold their own in conversation with people who risked their lives to defend the right to vote.

When they reach the age of eighteen, they'll remember meeting activists like Joanne Bland. And they will vote.
