Making a different kind of history

Gordon reaches new heights with 401Gives

Update! Here's the footage from the polar plunge!

We did it!

Earlier today, we surpassed our $55,000 401Gives fundraising goal and we've now also blown past our goal of two hundred and fifty participants.

As of the 6pm deadline for gifts, Gordon was in the top ten fundraisers among a crowd of over seven hundred Rhode Island nonprofits. Our level of participation put us in the top fifteen in the state, and we have the highest amount raised among small nonprofits.

And, the important part: meeting our goal means that the Gordon community will come together in a polar plunge.

When? Where? Who? Dr. deChabert and Denver explain it all in this video. It will be Friday, April 10th at 4:30pm, at Barrington Beach, and all members of the Gordon community are invited—families, faculty, staff, alumni, bring it on!

Gordon was overjoyed to be a part of 401Gives, a day that supports hundreds of local nonprofits.

As we approached our goals, we shared videos of fun challenges, grounded in our mission, performed by students, faculty and staff.

See you all next Friday!
