Kinetic energy from age five to fourteen

 

Gordon students begin learning to be scientists at age three, with weekly visits to the IDEA Lab and twice-daily recesses in the natural splendor of Gordon's campus.

After Kindergarten's dominoes and marbles, and fourth grade's roller coasters, here's what hands-on work with Newton's laws of motion looks like in eighth grade.

 

As their teacher wrote: "They were exploring potential and kinetic energy and their marble runs went from one loop to five because they couldn't get enough of it. I had to make them stop, and they were sad."
