Honoring those who defy stereotypes

From the three women who lead Gordon's science program: congratulations to new Nobel laureates Donna Strickland (physics) and Frances Arnold (chemistry). They are the third and fifth women, respectively, to be honored in those categories.

Gordon understands how powerful it can be for students to see historically underrepresented populations serving as leaders and teachers. Gordon's faculty is full of professionals who defy stereotypes, from the men who teach in our Early Childhood division to the people of color who make up 27% of Gordon's teachers - five times the percentage in Rhode Island schools.
