The Gordon School

Hear that silence?

The sound of math instruction that reaches every student

Hear that silence?

That’s the sound of seventy Middle Schoolers doing math quietly at the end of the day

Not for credit, not for a grade

Doing their best just for the fun of it

Sixth, seventh and eighth grade students took the MathCounts exam today

The top ten finishers will become Gordon’s competitive team

And head to the statewide championship in March

Gordon has placed in the top three for nine out of the past ten years

And sent half a dozen competitors to the nationals

This run began as Gordon made a longterm investment in math instruction for every learner

A move that led to success for all Gordon math students - not just the top test takers
