Halloween 2022

White witches and Black Panthers, scarecrows and scuba divers, fairy koalas and fish tacos

This community’s imagination, playfulness, and exuberance were all on display this morning.

White witches and Black Panthers, scarecrows and scuba divers, fairy koalas and fish tacos were all present. Eighth grade advisories dressed in themes, as insurance spokespeople or Sesame Street characters. Administrators and staff dressed as the lunch program. Second grade had a Maverick and a Goose.

The parade brought out everyone's kind spirit, with the young children bravely promenading and Middle Schoolers patiently cheering on each one.

The true holiday miracle? After an hour, everyone had had their chance to promenade around the school, show off their looks, and celebrate one another. By 9:30, they were back in their classrooms learning.

Halloween and sustainability mashup: on Friday morning (and not before!), families are invited to bring their pumpkins in for composting. A trailer will be in front of the school, and pumpkins will go to Mr. Gillen’s vermicomposting farm, Magic Tree Worms, to be made into living soil.
