Gordon reads Grace Lin

A Zoom readaloud open to parents, alumni, students, friends and extended family

On Saturday afternoon, Gordon's librarian Frances Martindale will host a group readaloud of Grace Lin's classic children's novel Where the Mountain Meets the Moon.

Gordon parents, students, alumni and extended family members are all invited to email Ms. Martindale at fmartindale@gordonschool.org and sign up for a section to read over Zoom. Families can read, or simply listen to others, and stay for the full read or leave after their section is done.

"We are recreating a little bit of Gordon history," explains Martindale, "with the first non stop read since Gordon parents Tracey Minkin and Karla Harry hosted a nonstop read with me of the first volume of the Harry Potter series in what is now the Commons at Gordon."

"We will see how far we can get in two hours! Grab your copy, or your digital read, of Where the Mountain Meets the Moon from off the shelf, your public library or from Books on the Square and join us on Saturday."

The event is happening with special permission of Grace Lin. As this year's Karla Harry Visiting Author, Lin will be working with Gordon students on December 10th and 11th. She is one of many authors working with Gordon students during this year's Book Fair.
