Parade, dance party celebrating Britt Nelson Visiting Artist

This morning, Early Childhood and Lower School students celebrated the end of Dave Allyn's residency with a parade and dance party—led by Dave and his DJ-station-on-wheels—that swept up everyone in its path.

Dave Allyn came to Gordon last spring as the twenty-third annual Britt Nelson Visiting Artist. The Britt Nelson Visiting Artist program brings working artists to campus to work alongside students of all ages.

Dave's residency was slowed down by the practicalities of the past year, but he never let it stop him. He began by presenting lessons over video last spring; this year, he moved slowly into in-person lessons, and today's outdoor party doubled as a celebration of how far we've all come over the past year.
