Gordon dominates at International Academic Competition
Where did the Apollo 11 astronauts land?
Ask this fourth grader, who just answered the question correctly (in Latin) to come in first place at the International Academic Competition this morning. His performance qualifies him for the nationals in Orlando and the global competition in Thailand.
This afternoon? He’s off to the Geography Bee Regional Competition, where they will likely stick to Earth geography.
Answer: Mare Tranquillitatis, or the Sea of Tranquility to those of us who don’t know Latin
