Gordon families come in all shapes and sizes.

 

The family portrait assignment helps Kindergarten Green Group students connect their home lives with the world of their new classroom

 

It begins them on the process of sharing their own personal stories with one another.

 

It also gives the teacher a great baseline snapshot of their basic literacy skills as they begin a year of tremendous growth and joyful learning.
