The Gordon School

A hundred ways to show gratitude

Two weeks ago, Dr. Thomas López announced that the school had received a $100,000 anonymous gift from a student's family. She challenged the Gordon community to express its gratitude by matching 100 for 100, raising an additional $100,000 for this year's Gordon Fund by June 30th while finding other ways to reach 100 along the way.

After fourteen days, here's where the effort is at:

$35,503 has been raised, which comes out to over $100 per hour and puts Gordon on track for the June 30th goal.

40% of the gifts have been at the $100 level.

The alumni and alumni parent community has made a strong showing, with $17,595 - 50% of the dollar total - given since 100 for 100 was announced.

There have been 81 donors so far. According to Gordon's first graders, that leaves 19 more to go to hit 100.

100% of the school's faculty and staff had already given to the Gordon Fund, back in the opening weeks of the year. On top of that, 100% of the school's Leadership Team, Development Department and Business Office have given additional gifts since 100 for 100 began.

Lower School and Middle School faculty are in a tight race to be the first to get to 100% giving to 100 for 100. As of Wednesday evening, both divisions had four more gifts to go to get to 100%.

As far as parents go, three Early Childhood parent gifts have come in over the past two weeks, and eight Lower School and three Middle School parent gifts, leaving the race wide open. Which division will be the first to hit ten new gifts?
