A gift from friends who moved away

The next chapter in our relationship with Gordon’s bees

A few weeks ago, a local beekeeper helped Gordon relocate a colony of bees to a place that was safer for them, and for our students.

Today, as a thank you, Ten Mile River Apiary dropped off a half pound of honey that the Gordon bees helped create. 

The jar is now on display in Mr. Terry’s science lab, where Gordon students learn about seeds, spores, eggs, cocoons, nests, hives, and other wonders of Gordon’s ecosystem.

The honey will eventually end up in the coffee and tea station in the Commons.
