The Gordon School

A community victory

Gordon rallies in support of 401Gives

This was Gordon’s fourth year participating in 401Gives, a statewide celebration of generosity and mission-driven work.

During the days running up to 401Gives, faculty and staff had created challenges for themselves to share at each $5,000 level.

Videos of these challenges went online throughout the event celebrating each new giving milestone.

This year’s 401Gives videos were tied together as a dog’s-eye view of the school, narrated by Denver the therapy dog as he walks to halls with two Middle School students.

The community blew through each challenge and surpassed the $45,000 goal, raising $51,133.66 and unlocking a final video challenge.

Wonderfully enough, it was a gift from incoming Head of School Meredith deChabert who put us over the $45,000 mark.

For the final video challenge, faculty, staff and administrators will gather on the beach on Friday for a polar plunge.

Thank you to the teachers and students who helped make this fundraising effort into a showcase for the joy and creativity that fuels the Gordon experience.

And thank you to the parents, alumni, faculty, friends and extended family who transformed a 401Gives goal into a demonstration of support for this school’s mission.

Update! The plunge happened Friday afternoon!
Relive it in all its majesty with the video below!
