The G-Notes alumni reunion project launched on Saturday with the first in a series of Zoom gatherings.
Alumni joined from around the world: Montreal, Paris, North Carolina, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Amman, Jordan.
Former and current G-Notes caught up on each other's lives, discussed the impact of the pandemic on the arts, and marveled at how much they remember from their time at Gordon.
The G-Notes are Gordon's Middle School a cappella group. Since 2006, they've been a part of Gordon's lively Middle School arts program, and have performed at WGBH, the Dunkin' Donuts Center, the NAIS annual conference and beyond, and gave a private performance for Bobby McFerrin at the Vets.
Over one hundred G-Notes alumni are now out in the world, making music and making a positive impact on their communities.
Alumni have been invited to create a virtual choir with current G-Notes, and dozens from across the years have signed on, including Jessie Litwin '08, Sherry Romanzi ’10, Toria Rainey '10, Maggie Rock '14, Brian Donahue ’15, Kailas Kahler '16, Maddie Lee 16, Kennedy Wallace '18, Pepper Travers '20, Andrew Song '20, Sofia Saab '20, and many more, including Sophie Jackson '12, currently part of Gordon's eighth grade teaching team.
The next G-Notes alumni Zoom gathering will happen on Saturday, April 17th, and more alums are invited to participate in a virtual choir project with the current members. For more information, contact Susan Hodgin at email@example.com
