Hello and Welcome!
My name is Santana Sluss and I have been teaching at the Gordon School for many exciting years! I love teaching! Working with children is truly a joyous endeavor. I am passionate in my work as an advocate for equity and excellence in education for all children. I provide an environment where all children, each child, may grow in knowing themselves, in expressing their thoughts and using their voice, believe in themselves, their skills and talents, as they grow and continue to blossom along the path as a life long learner. I wish that all feel emotionally safe, as I hone their critical thinking skills and encourage their curiosity about the world around us. I will provide rich experiences in language arts, math, science, social studies,art, dance, music, social and emotional connections and grow our communication skills. I believe that all children can seek answers to their questions and investigate their interests. I wish for the children to feel the joy of being a thoughtful and responsible individual, as well as having a good sense of belonging as well as being a strong member of a myriad of communities. I hope for all of us to be protectors of our planet starting with helping locally as children and growing into empathetic and active global adults. I am teaching for school and life.
