Opportunities for families with younger childern

Students begin at Gordon at age three, but there are opportunities year-round for younger children - and their parents - to get to know the school.

Lori’s Music Together

Gordon has hosted Music Together classes for many years.

Music Together® is an internationally recognized early childhood music program. Classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. For more information on philosophy and program go to

The classes are 45 minutes.

A family’s first class is always free.

In the fall of 2017, classes will be on Mondays at 8:30am or Tuesdays at 11:00am

The full fall schedule is:

9/18, 9/25, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 11/27 (with 12/4 being held to use as a makeup week of necessary).

9/19, 9/26, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/7, 11/14, 11/21 (with 11/28 held for makeup week of necessary).

The cost is $170 for the nine week session. There is a sibling discount price of $100. Infant siblings under the age of nine months at class start date are free with a registered sibling

Lori Nassif Istok, a registered Music Together teacher and licensed Music Together Center Director, will lead the class. Lori has a B.A. from Brown University, diploma in vocal performance from The Mannes College of Music, and an M.S.. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Bank Street College of Education.

Rhode Island New Moms Connection

Rhode Island New Moms Connection: Moms of Two
$96 for six weeks with reduced rates available

Gordon hosts a six-week series led by the Rhode Island New Moms Connection. This is for mothers who have two children, with the younger one being a baby up to six months old. The age of the older child can vary, and if they are not in school or daycare they are welcome to attend the group with mom and baby.
