Giving

The Gordon Fund is a community fundraising effort that strengthens important programs and advances Gordon’s mission.

Support for the fund comes from current families, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty, and friends.

Gordon prides itself on building a diverse community and our families represent a broad range of economic circumstances. While giving is voluntary, a gift to the Gordon Fund appropriate to your family’s means always makes a difference.

Join our effort this year to ensure Gordon’s talented professionals and students have all the tools they need to explore, innovate and learn.

Opportunities for investment in the 2017-2018 academic year are:

Sustaining Gordon's mission

Gordon recruits a diverse student body, and uses a multicultural curriculum as a rich context for these students to work, play and learn together.

STEAM: science, technology, engineering, arts and math

Gordon teaches science, technology, engineering, arts and math in an integrated project-based curriculum that encourages collaborative problem solving and solid research practice.

Library and literacy

Gordon ensures that every reader sees themselves reflected in literature and every writer is challenged to discover their own voice through excellent teaching and the diverse resources offered in the Joukowsky Family library.

Visual and performing arts

Music, dance, theater and visual arts spark curiosity, creativity and self-expression. The benefits and impact of arts education is visible in student work across all disciplines and in their increased confidence in and out of the classroom.

Innovative teaching

Gordon teachers are recognized nationally for their innovative approach to curriculum review, development of classroom practice, and advancement of a progressive multicultural pedagogy that broadens student perspectives.

Athletics

Gordon’s competitive athletics program begins in the fifth grade and includes twenty teams in seven sports, all of which promote good sportsmanship, school pride and healthy competition.
