All of Gordon's musicians use teamwork, but the handbell players - who each have responsibility of two or three pitches in any given piece - need a unusual level of coordination.

 

With twelve of their seventeen members in Alabama today (on the Civil Rights Trip), the handbell ensemble had to scramble to get through their morning warmup.

 

Note to the careful viewer: they surprised their teacher by using the Martellato technique on the ascending half of the scale.
