After giving one demonstration, the team invited volunteers up to give it a try, leading to a heated brother-versus-brother discussion of vending machines and a fifth grade face-off that required a tie-breaker.
The presentation served as promotion for the team, which has grown steadily since its inception last spring.
It also provided the crowd with a reminder of how confidence, clear thinking and quick wittedness can steer listeners into unexpected places.
