The Procedure
- A family submits an application to Gordon acknowledging they are going to apply for aid.
- A Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) is given to the family to fill out and send to School and Student Services (SSS). This can be filled out online at sss.nais.org
- The family submits tax returns, with all additional schedules and W-2 forms, to Gordon.
- Gordon's Admission and Financial Aid Office receives Report of Family Contribution (RFC) from SSS. (usually a two week turn around)
- Gordon's Financial Aid Committee reviews all submitted information and makes decision. All financial aid awards are communicated in writing with the admission decision.
- If a family accepts, they must notify the school. If the enrollment contract has not been returned, it should be at this time.
- If a family chooses to appeal, they must notify the school by calling and asking for a meeting with the Director of Admission and Financial Aid.
- If a family chooses to reject, they must notify the school by calling or putting it in writing.
