I am a serious student, I like to think about and discuss important issues. I enjoy all people, but I don't compromise my own values for friendships. I care about the environment and people.  I am deeply concerned when people are disrespectful of either.

Gordon School strives to have gender balance in each class, maintain a cultural, ethnic and socioeconomically diverse student body, and enroll families who understand and embrace the mission of the school.

Academic, social, and emotional growth are vital to a student's development and are taken into consideration by the Admission Committee upon review of an applicant.

Gordon seeks to enroll students who will contribute to the Gordon community in a variety of areas, demonstrate a commitment to learning, exhibit the respect necessary for building a strong and diverse community, and be engaged learners, thoughtful questioners, and creative thinkers.

This includes but is not limited to students who have demonstrated or show potential for the ability to do grade level work or above in language development, literacy skills, and mathematical skills.  Students must also have the  ability to communicate well with adults and peers alike, have a true interest in learning and are concerned  about the world they live in.  Parents are asked to understand and support the mission of the school

The Gordon School Admission Committee includes members of the faculty, the Associate Director of Admission and the Director of Admission.
