Common Ground

Common Ground is a weekly program that strengthens and supports the informal connections that develop among students of color at Gordon. Students gather weekly for structured, age-appropriate group activities led by Gordon faculty.

The program is offered to students who are identified as students of color by their parents on the school’s “Family Information” form. For Lower School students, Common Ground runs in three seven-session seasons that follow the same calendar as the after school enrichments.

Families receive registration materials in the mail during the weeks before each season.

In fall 2007, Common Ground began in the Middle School, with sessions meeting once a month during the school day.
